Pasco, WA 2011: Even when we blow an engine and end up on the end of a tow rope, life in Christ is grand and rich. Lives unmarked by trouble lack flavor, depth, and appreciation, among other things.

“The barometer here is to have an easy and light life, to feel easy and light every day. That doesn’t mean we don’t struggle and that everything is all roses. It’s about how we handle our troubles, persevere, and still do good even when things are looking bleak. Once we’ve done that part, we then need to leave the rest to Him and be at ease with that. Come what may. Breathe. The message helps me come to terms with the humbling fact that we can’t control everything” (Mila).
“This message helps me see that my struggles are good. If I persevere through them, then they produce character and I will mature (Romans 5:3-5). If I can’t see the good in my struggles or what it will produce, then my heart is the problem. Humility is important; it is good for me to be humble with where I’m at and have a sober look at myself. If I am humble, then I can be taught and learn from my shortcomings. Being real, open, and honest is the way to be. This is what will get me closer to God (2 Corinthians 6:11-13)” (Lynette).
